As far as doing business with Derrick Spain of Reclaimed Leather—rarely, if ever, have I had such a positive and completely satisfying buying experience. Derrick was extremely flexible in working with us in terms of picking up the couch. We had a death in our family so Derrick was kind and understanding about the delay in picking up the couch (and paying for it).
Unbeknownst to him, some of the products he used to refurbish the couch were not stable and the dye would come off onto clothes and skin. We let him know and he said he would redo the leather for us…even though the couch was now located in Georgetown, TX.
Then Hurricane Harvey happened and Derrick lost his phone and I decided to give it some time before contacting him again (figuring he had to deal with the effects of the storm). When I did reach Derrick, he was unbelievably gracious and said he would come get the couch in order to refinish the leather. I was grateful for his generous offer and he, indeed, kept his pledge to get the couch and return it to us before Thanksgiving.
Is his furniture beautiful and a pleasure to own? Is he a person of incredible integrity? Will he be someone that you will be pleased to do business with? Yes, yes, yes. As you can tell by now…this recommendation is more about Derrick’s character than his furniture—although it is amazing as well.

We have found many items which we love – mirrors, artwork, furniture, ornaments, and sculptures – some of which we have been delighted to add to our collection. Derrick’s new premises in Old Town Spring is delightful – well worth a visit!

“Honest Businessman with Quality Pieces at Very Fair Prices“
We stumbled across Derrick about 2 years ago when we bought our gorgeous Morbier clock from him. Since then we shop with him regularly and have bought several of his antiques and, of course, a beautiful Chesterfield soft and chair. Derrick quickly made a point to learn about our style so he can contact us when he finds an item that might fit our eclectic international decor, and he is usually right. His store in Old Town Spring is a delight to shop in with great music playing out front and a friendly atmosphere. Derrick is not only a great guy but he is an honest businessman with quality pieces at very fair prices!
