With a rich history and a growing list of eclectic shops and restaurants, Old Town Spring has a lot to offer. It’s the perfect place to spend an afternoon, enjoying mouthwatering BBQ, a cold drink, and all the sights and shops!
Brief History of Old Town Spring
Old Town Spring was once a bustling railroad crossing, with Victorian homes, a bank, saloon, hotel, wood and cotton mills and an opera house. The area was hit hard when the railroad moved to Houston just before the Great Depression. The town sat nearly abandoned until the oil boom of the 1960s. Today you can still see many traces of the past, including the Wunsche Saloon. Shops, restaurants, bars, and other businesses have revitalized this historic district, making Old Town Spring a bustling destination once again. Share on X
